When it comes to building community, progress is key—and by working together with neighbors like you, we’ve made incredible progress right here in Goshen County.

Over the years, as you’ve chosen to renew the ¼ penny sales tax, you’ve also chosen to be part of creating progress. All funds collected through the ¼ penny sales tax are used to fund our Progress Program, and through that program, we’ve awarded $1.2 million in grant funds to our community businesses, non-profits, and municipalities.

As a Goshen County resident, that means you’ve played an important part in:

Bringing a splash pad to Fort Laramie!

In 2019, Fort Laramie put their Progress Program funds toward creating a free splash park for everyone to enjoy. Since then, it’s become a favorite summer destination for locals and tourists alike.

Protecting LaGrange residents with a new fire truck!

LaGrange used their Progress Program funding to match a State Loan and Investments Board MRG Application for a new fire truck. Updated equipment means faster response times for the LaGrange community, and reduced risk for our first responders answering the call.

Creating community centers in Lingle and Yoder!

Both Lingle and Yoder put Progress Program funding toward creating local community centers. Goshen Economic Development is proud to have had a hand in bringing all community centers to all municipalities! Not only do these spaces serve as an important hub to connect and bring the community together for public events, they’re also wonderful for hosting baby showers, birthday parties, receptions, and more.

“Goshen Economic Development has been a great partner on various projects needed by the Town of Lingle. The most recent that comes to mind is the Lingle Community Center. The support provided in the form of grant writing assistance, meeting support, and general coordination of the various State of Wyoming organizations to make this project a reality was second to none.”

George Siglin | Mayor, Town of Lingle
