Torrington, WY --- Goshen Economic Development and Chamber
partners with Wyoming Cancer Resource Services to promote a safe
and healthy community when sun-seeking this summer. Goshen
Economic Development and Chamber teamed up with Wyoming
Cancer Resource Services to offer free SPF 30 waterproof sunscreen
through contactless dispensers in public places throughout Goshen
County. Each bag of sunscreen contains approximately 1000
dispenses and protects against broad spectrum UVA/UVB rays.
The dispensers will be stationed at the Dale Jones Municipal
Swimming Pool, The Lingle Pool, and the Fort Laramie Splash Pad
this summer to keep our residents safe. The bright yellow portable
sunscreen dispensers will also be available at 3rd Thursdays on Main
Street.
“I enjoyed collaborating with Edith Silvas from Wyoming Cancer Resource Services to help Goshen County,” said Visitor Center Manager Moriah Brist. “I believe that Sun Protection is important, so it was an instant ‘yes’ when Edith offered to donate the portable sunscreen dispensers. Our pools and splash pads offer great summer fun for everyone, and the Wyoming Cancer Resource Services program has allowed participants to protect themselves this season.” said Brist.
Offering free sunscreen helps promote and teach our young Goshen County residents’ healthy habits for the summer.
