CITY OF TORRINGTON & M LAZY HEART FEEDS, LLC

Torrington, WY --- The Wyoming State Loan and Investment Board met on Thursday, October 7th, 2021, and voted 1 – 3, not to fund the construction of a feed mill in the Torrington Eastside Industrial Park. The City of Torrington would have leased the facility to M Lazy Heart Feeds, LLC. The project would have brought 19 new benefitted jobs by the end of year five, $7.3 Million in additional private investment, $70,000 - $100,000 in annual property tax income, and an additional outlet for local farmers to sell commodities. The mill would have been the largest and only one of its kind in the state of Wyoming, it would have served the State of Wyoming and region including the panhandle of Nebraska, South Dakota, southeastern Montana, and northeastern Colorado.

Goshen Economic Development – which includes Economic Development, Chamber of Commerce, Main Street, Downtown Development, Travel & Tourism, and Visitor Center – is a non-profit organization that prioritizes the retention and expansion of local businesses. Since 1987, the organization has encouraged business growth, created jobs, and built on local community assets in five Wyoming municipalities: Fort Laramie, LaGrange, Lingle, Torrington, and Yoder.
