Goshen Economic Development - Progress Program Awards

Torrington, WY --- The Goshen Economic Development Board of Directors awarded $12,675 Progress Program funds to three projects in Goshen County.

The South Goshen Conservation District requested $3,675 for a Gopher Eliminator machine and custom trailer to haul it. Progress Program funding makes up 50% of a total project cost.

The Goshen County Library requested $4,000 for equipment purchases for public use at the library. The equipment included: laptops, printer, hot spots, keyboards, and mice. Progress Program funding makes up 50% of the total project cost.

The Lingle-Fort Laramie Conservation District requested $5,000 for a 10’ Great Plains No-Till Drill. Progress Program funding makes up 17% of the total project cost of $29,900.

 

Progress Program is the grant/loan program that invests back into Goshen County businesses and municipalities. The Progress Program funds are made possible by the ¼ cent sales tax for economic development.  To date, Goshen Economic Development is happy to have invested over $1 million back into Goshen County businesses and municipalities.

 

Goshen Economic Development is a non-profit organization created in 1987 to encourage business growth and build on local community assets.  GED’s mission is to cultivate boundless opportunity for business and community. The organization encompasses all economic development, Chamber of Commerce, Travel and Tourism, and Main Street activities on the behalf of Goshen County.
