GOSHEN MAIN STREET DESIGNATED AS A NATIONAL CERTIFIED MAIN STREET
Torrington, WY – On behalf of Main Street businesses throughout Goshen County, Goshen Economic Development began the process of becoming a National Certified Main Street three years ago. The process included the addition of events such as 3rd Thursday’s and expansion of existing events such as Holiday activities. National Main Street Certification creates national exposure, provides additional grant funding opportunities, and results in a cohesive community.
Ag Appreciation Breakfast Donations Exceed Expectations
Torrington, WY —Goshen Economic Development and Chamber held their Annual Ag Appreciation Breakfast at the Goshen County Fair. The Ag Appreciation Breakfast on Goshen County Fair Day is one way of showing commitment to and support of local agriculture producers.
On Thursday, August 5th, guests enjoyed a ranch breakfast made possible by generous community donors. Proceeds in turn are donated to agricultural endeavors. Past donations include agricultural internships, research experience, entrepreneurship opportunities, scholarships, and agricultural summits.
"Proceeds from the 2021 fundraiser exceeded everyone's expectations," said Community Development Director Sandy Hoehn. This year’s proceeds were donated to Eastern Wyoming College's

Agriculture Department for their new ATECH Stock Ticker's software program, covering the cost for five years. Additionally, Goshen Economic Development and Chamber added two Ag scholarships for Eastern Wyoming College students at $1,000 each; and $1,000 worth of food vouchers were provided to fair participants, volunteers, and workers for redemption at local restaurants and fair vendors.
Goshen Economic Development is a non-profit organization created in 1987 to encourage business growth and build on local community assets. GED's mission is to cultivate boundless opportunities for business and the community. The organization encompasses all economic development, Chamber of Commerce, Main Street, Downtown Development, and Travel & Tourism activities throughout Goshen County.
