Torrington

Torrington is the Goshen County seat. It’s a small town with a lot to offer. It hosts a diverse range of exciting annual events, from craft fairs to rodeos. It caters to arts aficionados and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

The town hosts an amalgam of industries. Its rich agricultural roots remain strong but continue to evolve to include new crops, such as wine grapes. An industrial park and local community college contribute to Torrington’s future development.

Lincoln Community ComplexLincoln Community Complex

The newly renovated elementary school has been repurposed into the Lincoln Community Complex which now houses municipal offices for the city of Torrington. This facility also provides additional classrooms for the University of Wyoming, a community food bank, and both child and adult day care for the community.

The Lincoln Community Complex project included: a remodel of the original kitchen, multipurpose room, and gymnasium, and new 911 call center/Police dispatch center with both electrical and mechanical redundant emergency backup systems. The City’s operating costs for the renovated facility will be greatly reduced due to an entirely new high efficiency mechanical and electrical system, and a complete overhaul of the exterior walls and windows to increase the thermal efficiency of the building shell. The Lincoln Community Complex project included: a remodel of the original kitchen, multipurpose room, and gymnasium, and new 911 call center/Police dispatch center with both electrical and mechanical redundant emergency backup systems. The City's operating costs for the renovated facility will be greatly reduced due to an entirely new high efficiency mechanical and electrical system, and a complete overhaul of the exterior walls and windows to increase the thermal efficiency of the building shell. By renovating an existing, unoccupied building, the City of Torrington was able to meet their new facility needs and provide valuable space for community programs for substantial savings in both time and money to local taxpayers.
