Broadband Council seeks comments on draft plan by Aug. 20
Monday, August 13, 2018
The Broadband Advisory Council will hold a teleconference meeting tomorrow at 9 a.m. to review the broadband enhancement plan and summary map.
The public is encouraged to listen in and offer comments by calling 1-855-459-2716.
The Wyoming Legislature created the Advisory Council during its 2018 session to expand broadband opportunities to areas of the state with limited options or slower than satisfactory speeds.
Members of the council provide advice and recommendations to the Wyoming Business Council, the state’s economic development agency, to aid in inventorying current broadband availability, developing best practices for efficiently expanding broadband services and ensuring state and local policies are conducive to the development of broadband services.
The broadband enhancement plan is currently available at www.wyomingbusiness.org/broadband, or by clicking here, for public review until Aug. 20. A final plan is due to the Legislature and the Economically Needed Diversity Options for Wyoming executive Council by Sept. 1.
